Returns — Defective Items Only

We accept returns exclusively for products that arrive defective or develop a manufacturing fault within 30 days of purchase. The item must be reported promptly with proof of purchase and clear evidence of the defect.

No Exchanges

We do not offer product exchanges under any circumstances. If your defective item is approved for return, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method — not a replacement or a swap.

Manufacturer Warranty

All products carry manufacturer warranty (1–25 years depending on product). Warranty claims for faults outside the 30-day window are handled directly via the warranty repair process — not as returns or refunds.

Tamaktech does not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect ordering, or buyer's remorse. Returns are strictly limited to products with proven manufacturing defects. We encourage all customers to review product specifications carefully before placing an order. If you have questions about a product's suitability, please contact our team before purchasing.

What Qualifies for a Return?

A return is only accepted when a product has a verified manufacturing defect.

Accepted Return Reasons

  • Dead-on-arrival (DOA)

    Product does not power on or function at all straight out of the box.

  • Manufacturing defect (within 30 days)

    Electrical fault, component failure, or structural defect not caused by misuse.

  • Wrong item received

    The product delivered differs materially from what was ordered.

  • Significant damage in transit

    Item arrived physically damaged in a way that affects functionality — must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Not Accepted for Return

  • Change of mind / buyer's remorse

    Not wanting the product anymore does not qualify.

  • Customer-caused damage

    Damage from misuse, improper installation, power surges, or accidents.

  • Products returned after 30 days

    Returns reported outside the 30-day window are not accepted. Use the warranty process instead.

  • Installed generators & solar systems

    Once installed and commissioned, these are handled exclusively through warranty repair.

  • Custom / specially ordered items

    Not returnable unless defective on arrival.

We Do Not Offer Exchanges

Tamaktech does not provide product exchanges. If your defective return is approved, you will receive a full monetary refund to your original payment method. If you need a different product, you are welcome to place a new order once your refund is processed.

How to Return a Defective Product

Follow these steps to initiate a defective-product return claim.

Contact us within 30 days

Report the defect via support@tamaktech.com, WhatsApp, or our live chat. Include your order number, a description of the fault, and clear photographs or video of the defect.

Defect assessment (1–2 business days)

Our technical team reviews your claim. We may request additional evidence or arrange an inspection for larger items. You will receive a written decision by email.

Ship the item back (if approved)

If your claim is approved we will provide a prepaid return shipping label for small items, or arrange pickup for large appliances and installed systems at no charge to you. Return the item in its original packaging where possible.

Refund issued (5–7 business days)

Once we receive and verify the returned item, a full refund is issued to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5–7 business days depending on your bank.

Note: Tamaktech reserves the right to reject return claims where inspection reveals the reported defect was caused by customer misuse, improper installation, or external factors such as power surges. All decisions are communicated in writing.

For faults that arise after the 30-day return window, all products are covered by manufacturer warranty.

✗ Not Covered

  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or negligence
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from power surges or external electrical faults
  • Unauthorised modifications or third-party repairs
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function

Card Refund

Automatic refund to your original credit or debit card.

Paystack / Flutterwave Reversal

Online payments are reversed through the original payment gateway.

No store credit. Refunds are always returned as cash to your original payment method. We do not issue store credit in place of monetary refunds.
